E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) had went by so fast this year with so many great pieces of technology being displayed. Since virtual reality is slowly growing in South Africa we were excited to hear that the Playstation VR headset will be available in South Africa sooner that we thought. Playstation are calling it “a transformative experience in gaming” since it will work seamlessly with the PS VR Aim Controller. The system itself is scaled to 1 is to 1, meaning your movements are tracked very closely, including your aim. Does this mean that you would have to hold your breath to aim and fire? We will have to wait to find out in October 2016 as Ster Kinekor, the local distributor, sheds more light on the SA launch event. There are already 230 developers working on Playstation VR content and by the time it launches in October, we should have around 50 games to choose from.
