Samsung S4

It is finally here and everything that it was rumoured to be and more is true. Samsung have brought us another electronic marvel that epitomises the modern mobile smart phone of today.  The new smart phone is larger than the S3 with a 5 inch display, is thinner and lighter. Staying within the screen department, the S4 packs a 1080P full HD AMOLED display with Gorilla glass protecting it, really tough stuff.

In terms of processing power, the S4 has a 1.9 Gigahertz quad core processor and 2 gigabytes of memory. They have also upgraded the battery to a larger one to power the new processor and larger screen. The camera is what blew us away, Apple iPhone 5’s pack an 8 megapixel rear camera whereas the S4 has a 13 Megapixel camera to handle taking pictures. This is the highest rated camera in a mobile phone to date.

Of course Samsung is all about the interface and the user friendliness of their devices. With the new device they had conducted research on the best options, they could either keep it the way it is or bring out an entirely new system that the public will still have to get used to. They have played it safe and kept the interface exactly like the same as the S3, it was a winning formula, all they have done is tweaked their Android operating system.

Two new features of the device include “All share”. A system that allows you to connect your Samsung S4 to any Samsung television so that you can beam video and photos to it. Samsung have also installed a new voice control system to their phones, allowing users to operate their phones via voice command. This does seem to be a bit of a competing factor against the Apple Siri software but in the end the one that works the best will gain public adoration.
